Amazon Business, is a fast growing group within Amazon focused on bringing the Amazon experience to millions of businesses. Our Customer Acquisition and Growth team is chartered to identify prospective business customers, personalize on-site nudges to them, and deliver the message through appropriate channels such as notification panels and site overlays. In addition, the team is expanding its charter to nudge current customers to use all our selection, features, and user management solutions. We use advanced ML and Data science techniques to provide the best advice to our customers that save them time and money. The job involves a thorough understanding of onsite customer behavior analysis, customer engagement techniques, a spirit of rapid innovation, and results oriented experimentation. We have an ambitious goal to accelerate our business velocity through automation. You are the leader to help us achieve that.
What technologies do we use?
We use Machine Learning (supervised and unsupervised learners) to identify prospective business customers and identify attributes to personalize nudges.
We use AWS services (Redshift, DynamoDB) and in-houseAmazon technologies and website frameworks to create immersive user experiences.
What do our Software Development managers do?
They work closely with Product Managers, Sales, and Marketing teams and other technical teams in designing experiments involving target customers, testing personalized messages on various channels. They are driven by data and metrics to decide which experiments are successful. They scale up these experiments and create a sustainable new channel for customer acquisition and move on to the next set of experiments. They are not bothered by failures but adapt the Amazon mantra of "Fail and Learn fast, Get results, and Scale faster".
