Amazon Business (or B2B) represents an incredible opportunity to address a vast new market segment and customer base and is an area of high interest for Amazon. We are focused on building solutions that enable B2B customers to find, research, and buy products and services from a vast selection, across multiple devices, marketplaces and regions. Our customers include individual professionals, small businesses to large institutions (and everything in between). Our B2B customers have different needs than the traditional Amazon customer so we are reinventing everything from how we display our selection, price our products, and provide the right customer experience.
The Amazon Business Hyderabad team is tasked with building the end to end buying experience for business customers. Unlike consumers, business purchasing follow different buying patterns (bulk, repeat buying) and we target users playing not just buying roles (e.g. administrators, approvers). Further, the buying behaviors and preferences are governed by the industry that the company is from (e.g. Healthcare, Education, Government) and the role they play (Admin, Approver, buyer). Our challenge is to build a highly tailored buying experience that is tailored across industries, Business segments (Enterprise, SMB etc), personas and the past buying patterns of the customer.
The AB Evaluations Experience team is tasked with revamping some of the key systems that will allow us to deliver Rich content and great experience when it comes to evaluating porducts for the purchase. This is one of the most important step in customer journey where they decide whether to move forward with the purchase or not. We strive to optimize the content that is most relevant to utilize valuable screen real estate. While we will add lot of new features to the Amazon Pages, we also need to make sure we meet the tight latency requirements to not compromise on the user experience.
We are looking for a dynamic leader for who will have the technical and people leadership skills to lead this flagship team for Amazon Business.
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
· 7+ years of relevant engineering experience
· 2+ years people management experience
· Experience with OOD and object oriented languages
· Experience with distributed computing, full stack experience.
· A deep understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software on time.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
