Each day, our customers make billions of transactions worldwide on our cloud. They harness the power of Amazon Web Services (AWS) to enable innovative applications, websites, and businesses. The AWS Security team owns security for all of these services offered by AWS, including EC2, S3, and many others.

Our team works with the many AWS teams to solve security challenges at massive scale. We build customer trust by designing, engineering, and operating services that meet the security goals of our customers, be it a start-up working out of a garage that needs simple, easy to use and understand security services for the non-expert, to fortune 500 companies with dedicated security staff and rigid compliance obligations.

You don’t need to have a security background to be successful on the AWS Security team. What you need is a desire to work on the bleeding edge, a desire to work on complex computer science problems, and the ability to simplify that complexity for our customers. Most importantly, you must have a strong backbone, be willing to fight for the privacy and protection of our customers, and be able to earn and maintain the trust of your coworkers.

The role

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to develop a new innovative security service. The ideal candidate will have full-stack experience with distributed systems and developing rich customer-facing user interfaces. This position involves working on complex software systems in a customer-centric environment and being passionate not only about building good software but also ensuring that the same software achieves its goals in operational reality.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 1+ years' experience in full-stack software development
· 1+ years' experience in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript or similar languages
· Bachelors' degree on Computer Science or similar field or equivalent work experience
