Software Development Engineer II - Item Authority

  • Seattle (King)
  • Design / Civil engineering / Industrial engineering

Job description

DESCRIPTION

The catalog that powers Amazon's growing global marketplace is the biggest, most comprehensive and most dynamic record of products in the world.

The Item Authority group builds machine learning based systems that define what a product is and when two items in our catalog are really the same product. By converging multiple items in our catalog, we de-clutter our Customers' search results, force merchants to compete on price, and create the basis for an experience rich in product metadata such as Customer Reviews.

We are looking for a strong Software Engineer with experience in one of big data processing, information retrieval, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or statistical modelling. Working with scientists and other engineers on the team, you will build the software to apply these techniques on massive distributed system architectures at the center of our product catalog.
