At any given time, there are many millions of packages on the way to Amazon customers around the world. The Interactive Delivery Experience (IDEX) team makes life easier for our customers by giving them flexibility around when, where and how they receive their packages, all the way up until it's actually delivered. We dream up, build and launch innovative products and services that reimagine our interactions with and on behalf of our customers throughout the delivery lifecycle. We solicit direct input from our customers before, during and after delivery, and we keep them closely informed throughout the delivery lifecycle. We are working to leverage Conversational AI to facilitate natural interactions with our customers, and Machine Learning to proactively identify and resolve issues without even needing to get in touch.
Our team is part of the Amazon India organization. India presents unique challenges when it comes to delivery: packages cannot be left on doorsteps and must be physically handed to someone; mapping of roadways and neighborhoods is unreliable; and unplanned events frequently inhibit delivery. These challenges are compounded given that India is Amazon’s fastest growing market. But by encountering these challenges sooner and more often than other markets, we have the opportunity to learn fast and to drive experiment-driven innovation that can improve the delivery experience for Amazon customers worldwide. Our vision is to be the benchmark for customer-facing delivery experience innovation inside and outside of Amazon.
You'll be part of a small, close-knit team of engineers that are agile, data driven, and highly collaborative. You'll help analyze customer behavior, propose ideas and solutions, architect and implement products, and then measure the results. You'll have the opportunity to impact millions of customers. You should be a well-rounded software engineer who loves a challenge and enjoys launching high-impact customer-facing products.
