DESCRIPTION

We are entering a new era where human machine interactions will have an unprecedented level of intelligence and automaticity with profound impacts on our daily lives and how businesses are conducted. Alexa holds the promise to address the last-10-ft challenge and enable novel applications across versatile domains.

Ours is a brand new Alexa domain team on a mission to disrupt the $3 Trillion Healthcare industry. This position offers a unique opportunity to build a new set of voice experiences from the ground up with innovation in both engineering and machine learning. As a Software Development Engineer, you will have broad technical ownership, and will work closely with experts in voice user interfaces and natural language understanding, as well as with stakeholders across Amazon. This role is a great fit for a leader who is passionate about the customer experience, can easily adapt to changing business and technical needs, and has a proven track record of inventing and delivering.

Ideal candidate profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BS in Computer Science, or equivalent background in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design and systems architecture.
· 3+ years professional experience building and operating scalable distributed systems across the full software lifecycle including design, implementation, testing, operations, and maintenance.
· Programming experience in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, C# or C++.
· Hands-on experience across front-end user interfaces, business logic, and data tiers.
