The Marketplace Abuse team designs and implements policies, tools and technology innovations to protect customers. Our team is looking for leaders to take ownership of these various areas and deliver on critical and high visibility projects. We are looking for a Risk Manager to manage critical and high impact global events and escalations. The ideal candidate should be passionate about helping us ensure that customers may make great purchase decisions and that brand owners and sellers using Amazon are successful listing and selling their products. Your decisions are not only fundamental to helping protect customers and sellers but will help maintain the health of the Amazon catalog and product listings ecosystem.
· Write SQL queries and use web interfaces to interact with multiple large data sets to identify potential risks.
· Develop and employ algorithms to discover patterns of risks, abuse.
· Interact with and understand numerous and complex user systems related to the Marketplace.
· Perform comprehensive investigations of apparent breaches of regulation/compliance standards.
· Write reports to describe the results of the investigations and suggest corrective actions.
· Discuss reports with multiple stakeholders.
· Participate in product and technology roadmap discussions.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in an analytical field such as Economics, Operations, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance.
· 3+ years of experience and demonstrated success in a program management, product management, risk management, analytics or business intelligence role.
· Demonstrated proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel.
· High level of integrity and discretion to handle confidential information.
· Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills with a natural tendency to use data in decision-making and prioritization.
· Ability to work effectively in a multi-task, high volume environment.
· Strong attention to detail.
