Reliability Engineer

DESCRIPTION

Amazon develops innovative consumer-centric product solutions. As a reliability engineer you will be part of an exciting team developing, testing, and delivering products. Your primary responsibility will be the development and implementation of methodologies/techniques to enhance product reliability. You will work closely internal cross-functional teams and outside partners to drive and execute product qualification. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

The reliability engineer will be responsible for:
• Implement specific validation items in reliability test plans with schedule. Flexible adjustment should be made based on issue occurring and debugging.
• Report reliability execution progress and issues, and track the issues from creation to closure.
• Support on DFMEA, debugging, failure analysis, DOEs and fixing issues discovered during testing.
• Evaluate reliability test methodologies to reduce test time and increase test coverage.
• Support US Reliability test needs from Proto to post production.
• Work with OEM / ODM's and leverage their resources for research.
• Qualify components manufactured throughout China.
• Prepared to travel extensively in China and Asia to support testing.
• Prepared to travel to US for training and to support US team.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, material engineering, mechanical engineering or related fields.
• 1 year's minimum experience in reliability or hardware test for electronic products.
• Good understanding of the principles and basic structures of measuring instruments such as HALT, chambers, oscilloscopes, and multimeters etc.
• Good technical problem solving skills and experience with failure analysis techniques.
• Strong team work spirit, team leader preferred. Have strong interpersonal skills and capability to manage and drive various cross-functional team members.
• Excellent bi-lingual (Chinese & English) written and verbal communication skills required.
• Good ability in multi-task and handling a large number of tasks at once.
