DESCRIPTION

Amazon Alexa Worldwide(WW) Content Ingestion Tools and Operations team is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead the testing and verification of Content Ingestion Systems. You will work closely with other Alexa technology and content operations teams to define and build the quality verification systems for our ingestion tools and platform. This position will involve working directly with the Alexa teams worldwide.

The Quality Assurance Engineering Team is responsible for the development and maintenance of manual and automated testing and test frameworks for teams in the Alexa WW Content Ingestion team. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with a passion for driving quality improvements throughout the organization. You will be a founding member of the Alexa QA center in Bangalore, India and will have the chance to be part of the team-building effort.

Specifically, you will:
- Build tools and frameworks for automated testing.
- Develop functional and performance test plans and cases for internal and external facing software systems
- Drive improvements in software engineering practices across engineering teams.
- Hire, retain and develop top-tier QA and test focused software development engineers.
Manage QA Engineers, Testers, Support Engineers and Contractors

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3-5 years' experience leading or managing Quality Assurance teams
- Experience developing high quality test plans and test cases
- Experience with functional, performance and stress testing.
- Experience developing testing automation tools and frameworks
- Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills and an ability to come up with creative solutions to impossible-to-solve problems
- 3+ years of experience developing enterprise software and/or web applications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 5 years' experience in testing or development is desired.
