DESCRIPTION

The Amazon Prime Video team is looking for a smart, motivated, and results-oriented Software Development Engineer to join the team. We are a high-energy group changing focussed on the PV experience for Indian users to watch TV and movies.

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about delivering world-class digital media experiences to our customers. Successful candidates for this position will be self-starters with strong problem solving skills who love getting things done. Strong communication skills and a desire to tackle complex problems that emerge from driving a large business at Amazon are also a must.

Our team is looking for a QA engineer who will play an instrumental role in assurance the quality of the system architecture, own specific feature deliveries, and help shape the overall experience for the Prime Video customers. You’ll collaborate closely with Product team, UX designers, and other SDE team members to help define the user experience.
You will demonstrate cross-functional resource interaction to accomplish your goals. You will play a role in defining processes and methods to improve the productivity of the entire team. You are a person with a commitment to team work, who enjoys working on variety of tech stacks, is customer centric, and thrives on the challenge of building solutions that will operate at world-wide scale.
You create and execute test plans for difficult test scenarios. You may be responsible for testing major features, a small device, mid-size application, service, or other product. You are able to develop test strategies for non- functional areas (e.g., performance, load, scalability, usability, etc.)
You have proficiency in a scripting language and a solid understanding of the test strategies and methodologies used in your product's technology domain.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Firm understanding of software development principles
· Programming in one or more object-oriented languages like Java/Python/C#/Ruby/Objective C/C++
· Ability to communicate effectively with employees in the company in both technical and non-technical roles

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 1+ year of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
· Experience in manual testing
· Experience in automation testing
· Bachelor's Degree
