Here's your chance to join our Training & Certification team working in the highly visible role of Product Manager within AWS Global Partner Training.

The successful candidate will have a strong and dominant execution mindset and possess the ability to take initiative to complete complex tasks and projects quickly and autonomously, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, switch gears at a moment's notice, and take effective action without having to know the total picture. This role will be pivotal in supporting the training and enablement of AWS Partner Network (APN) which is the global partner program for AWS. It is focused on helping partners build a successful AWS-based business by providing great business, technical, marketing, and GTM support. The role will initially be quite tactical, but over time will provide ample opportunity to provide strategy and architectural framework guidance to programs. An ideal candidate would have a mix of experience in technology solution marketing, SA or pre-sales, content development, program management and a learning expert. Product and technical marketing individuals with expertise in defining technical and solution content would also be a fit.
Responsibilities:
· Own and product manage at least 2-3 moderate to complex partner training product development projects every year, from ideation to launch
· Develop the content strategy for effective partner training working with the larger T&C product management and curriculum efforts.
· Combine and communicate the Partner and AWS Partner program needs into one consistent content framework and strategy.
· Represent APN partners at all Tier’s and understand patterns in knowledge gaps, and provide thought leadership for proposed programs and curriculum
· Gather learning requirements from AWS partner teams. This will include regional partner training teams, route-to-market (RTM) teams, AWS partner network and partner field.
· Earn trust across AWS Business Development, Solution Architect, Sales and Partner functions by diving-deep and working with teams to find solutions to problems
· Think strategically with a product portfolio mindset and prioritize highest impact training intake requests that serve the needs of the partner ecosystem.
· Leverage the partner content strategy to drive curriculum team to build and prioritize content with high standards.
· Work jointly with the training and certification product and curriculum manager teams to represent and articulate the partner training asks.
· Assist in defining and review of the role-based content frameworks for Executive, Business, Solution Architect and Professional Services learning paths.
· Willingness to respect all tasks and willingness to delve in to details, monitor training and enablement activity metrics, and run reports for corrective action.
· Work with the RTM and APN competency team, align training content to meet the global partner training goals.
· Contribute to the increase in the number of AWS certified and accredited partner individuals.
· Evaluate effectiveness and propose adjustments to global programs to improve performance and ensure objectives are met
· Define and create detailed course proposals based on training product requirements
· Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams within AWS (including Professional Services, Solutions Architecture, Business Development, and APN) to understand partner training needs.
· Lead and manage the development of the training product.
· Problem solver who can work with technical and business teams.
· Ability to initiate new programs, obtain senior management buy-in and support and own the training product lifecycle (course) from definition to launch and regularly manage feedback.
· Manage global rollout of programs working with product marketing and launch management
· Ability to confidently present in partner settings of up to 200 or more individuals
· Engage APN partners at all Tiers and understand patterns in their knowledge gaps, and provide thought leadership for proposed programs and curriculum.
· Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Positive, proactive and able to always exercise great judgment.
· Must have a global mindset and have the ability to think at-scale.
· Travel up to 20%, domestic and globally, and sometimes on short notice.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in Partner training or Channel enablement, channel alliances or similar roles (highly desired).
· Experience with learning management systems and e-learning development tools, or equivalent toolsets.
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum 7+ years experience in learning and development or Partner alliance, Partner solution enablement related position, technical marketing, or equivalent.
· Technical degree (i.e. Computer Science) or relevant work experience in computer science, cloud computing, or engineering
· 5+ years demonstrated understanding of cloud technologies and distributed computing.
· 5+ years recent experience writing product and market requirements documents for technical offerings.
· Recent experience (within the last 2 years) in a fast-paced technology company
