Do you enjoy ideating, innovating, and accelerating game-changing programs? Do you have a start-up mentality? Do you thrive in ambiguity and know how to spot diamonds in the rough?

Corporate Projects Team (CPT) seeks a Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) to own program management and technical leadership of CPT’s project portfolio. CPT is an accelerator-team within Corp Dev that is comprised of individuals with a diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise. We partner with business/tech teams and look across the company to identify nascent or emerging projects that have long-term, strategic value to Amazon, and we work with those teams to develop the right vision, proof points/experiments, and roadmap to accelerate those projects forward. We provide direct support based on the needs of each partner team, ranging from Technical Design, Product, Program Management, Economics/Science Design, and Business Development. In this regard, working with CPT is a unique opportunity within Amazon. For each project, you will work on the frontlines with a cross-functional team of stakeholders to seamlessly integrate CPT’s resources into the partner’s local-builder team and infrastructure. You will be a serial entrepreneur who will deliver program proof-of-concepts, design, and direction that successfully unblocks the project and tees it up for a multi-year roadmap. This is not your conventional TPM role.

Key responsibilities include:
· Work both collaboratively with other CPT principals (Science, Product, Tech, Biz Dev) and independently to identify and source opportunities.
· Establish programs that integrate CPT resources with our partners’ local team(s).
· Facilitate a holistic technical direction, identifying risks and opportunities, and securing required resources through both conventional and creative means.
· Drive program with internal and external facing mechanisms to eliminate obstacles while maintaining schedule.
· Establish O/E and continuous development mechanisms to enable seamless tech-transfer and hand-off program after collaboration is finished.
· Coach and mentor SDE resources within CPT.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Earn trust quickly with partner teams, indirectly influence to drive collaboration.
· Excel in program management mechanisms (scoping, planning, resourcing, problem solving).
· Balance executive direction with immediate pain points.
· Provide cross-org leadership and direction via strong communication skills.
· Be comfortable wearing many hats and demonstrating high ownership to get projects over the line.
· Look around corners for longer-term opportunities.
· Strong negotiating and positioning instincts.
· Experience and proven success working with v0 and v1 iterations of products/programs.
· Have 10+ years of experience managing programs of varied domains and technical environments.
· Highly entrepreneurial to independently develop ideas with business/tech leaders that frame opportunities for CPT.
· Proficiency with commonly used programming language(s).
