Fast-growing Amazon Video is searching an Intern that is able to combine analytical thinking with business acumen to help grow our digital video business.

The Digital Store team is responsible for launching the hottest TV Shows and Blockbusters, like Game of Thrones or Suicide Squad, on Amazon Video. We work across all channels to make sure our customers can buy or rent their new favourite show right after US-broadcast or download the latest movie before DVD release.

During your internship, you will support both the marketing and business teams by turning data into actionable insights. You will support ad-hoc analysis requests, as well as develop and execute standard reports. You will share insights and recommendations and act as a thought partner for the leadership team - matching the right metrics and methodologies to business questions.

We are looking for results-oriented candidates with experience in data science, using big data to solve complex business problems by combining analytical best practices and technology.

Key Responsibilities

· Retrieve and analyze complex big data sets to provide insights on customer life cycle and customer engagement.
· Analyze historical data to identify significant trends and drivers
· Develop and execute standardized reporting and analysis to improve customer behavior knowledge.
· Perform comprehensive analysis to support ad-hoc reporting requests.
· Work closely with the US an UK Amazon Video BI teams in Seattle and London
· Have the obsession to drive a better customer experience through everything that we do here at Amazon.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Student of Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science preferred, other disciplines welcome
· Proven analytical and quantitative skills
· Excel proficiency
· Familiar with databases and SQL
· Fluent in German and English
