DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated Network Technician to build and operate a highly scalable and fault tolerant world-class Network lab infrastructure.

As a Network Technician in the AWS Network Product Development group, you will be supporting the backbone of Amazon's Global Network test infrastructure. In this role, you will be working very closely with customers to gather requirements, scope work items, and facilitate project execution. You will also be driving operations and lab processes for smooth customer experience.

The ideal candidate should have strong background in Datacenter Network infrastructure and Network troubleshooting. You should have experience with Network optics, cabling, and Network device configuration. You should also have strong written and verbal communication skills. This is a great opportunity for someone willing to learn and contribute to build next-generation Network infrastructure for one of the biggest Datacenters in the world.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with Network infrastructure technologies
· Experience with Network cabling, optic types, and test equipment
· Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
· Strong Computer Network fundamentals
· Experience managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflow
· Experience troubleshooting routing, device connectivity, device configuration issues.
· Experience with TCP/IP networking
· Experience with maintenance of patch panels and patch cords.
