DESCRIPTION

Shopbop is looking for a talented, customer-obsessed and analytical Marketplace Analyst to help build and execute strategies driving the company's continued growth on Amazon's marketplace. This role offers the unique opportunity to drive large scale, highly visible projects across different teams.

Specific responsibilities include: managing and optimizing the day-to-day marketplace operations and business; identifying the necessary metrics and creating reports to increase understanding of the business; proactively identifying pain points or opportunities through systemic measurement and improving product availability, customer conversion and revenue on Amazon. The Marketplace Analyst will be a quick learner, detail oriented and collaborative – able to work across teams and possess expertise in both qualitative and quantitative analysis with a passion for delivering actionable insights to key stakeholders. The right candidate will blend advanced reporting with strong critical thinking and project management skills. Your success in the role will have a large impact on improving the customer experience and growing Shopbop's Marketplace business.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized and have a demonstrated track record of successful project management/ownership, juggling multiple projects with competing deadlines, and using data to identify and prioritize opportunities. He/she is analytical, enthusiastic, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and is customer-focused with the ability to handle ambiguity.

Responsibilities Include:
· Analyze and solve business problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context
· Manage day-to-day marketplace operations including product, customer and system related issues
· Solicit existing and new brands to provide access to their GTIN database either directly or through third party vendors while educating on Shopbop's GTIN needs and intake processes
· Use data mining, model building, and other analytical techniques to develop customer insights and business opportunity
· Assist with major projects including project management, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations
· Drive business performance reporting and facilitate team reviews weekly, monthly, and quarterly
· Work within the Shopbop and Amazon teams to identify customer pain points and create new or improved experiences for the customer
· Act as primary liaison to buying and planning teams in support of selling on Amazon; including raising awareness and understanding of selling on Amazon with Buying and Planning, support day to day execution of initiatives related to selling on Amazon and creating scalable reporting tools for Buying and Planning to utilize

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· At least 3 years of successful experience in marketing communications, demand generation, field marketing or channel marketing/management
· Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or relevant field of study
· At least 2 years experience with analysis tools including Microsoft Excel, SQL; strong proficiency needed
