Amazon is seeking a Maintenance Reliability Manager for our Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) Operations team, based in a Fulfillment Center (FC). Amazon is one of the most recognizable brand names in the world and we distribute millions of products each year to our loyal customers.

The Maintenance Reliability Manager (MRM) will be a member of the Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) leadership team in the FC, and will oversee RME Technicians and may include overseeing Area Maintenance Managers. MRM's first priority will be to ensure safe working environment for RME team, and focus on development of RME team members.

This position is responsible for developing and leading the reliability process in a manner that will have a direct impact on equipment uptime, efficiency, cost management, quality, safety, customer satisfaction, innovation, and ultimately profitability.

Key Areas of Manager Responsibilities include:
· Work with local site Safety department leadership to understand, implement, train and audit safety programs.
· Support the Operations team with high equipment availability, and by handling multiple internal and externally sponsored projects.
· Mentor all RME associates by motivating and providing direction to help them achieve their goals by meeting or exceeding expectations, and help with their development.
· Develop RME department business plans, key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide guidance and direction for the successful implementation of those plans.
· Drive 5S and Lean management methodology within RMR, and improvement Kaizen activities.
· Participate in weekly network RME calls and periodic off-site conferences.
· May have oversight of the entire RME organization from time to time in the absence of the Maintenance Manager. Depending on the fulfillment center requirements, this position may need to work during the night shifts, and be on call for emergencies.
Key Areas of Reliability Responsibility:
• Implement, and own strategies to improve current maintenance practices and driving better equipment uptime, lower repair costs, and lower material inventory levels/costs.
· Leverage network, original equipment manufacturers, and subject matter experts to develop reliability efforts within the fulfillment center, and support network with good practices.
· Drive preventative maintenance (PM) task improvements and PM practices to focus on quality PMs. Ensure the Planning and Scheduling team manages to North America Fulfillment Center Standard Operating Procedure.
· Own the Predictive / Condition monitoring program for the site and deliver maintenance and reliability training to maintenance resources.
· Ensure quality data in computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Leverage the value of our CMMS for tracking work orders, planned/predictive maintenance, spare parts inventory/sharing, “maintenance, repair, and overhaul” (MRO) management, and maintenance history of equipment.
· Analyze operational data and equipment performance history to deliver improvements in critical maintenance related metrics / KPI's. Identify and resolve the top three reliability improvement priorities for the fulfillment center and share best practices with the network.
· Partner with Corporate Reliability team to develop maintenance benchmarking data / KPI's in order to drive improvements within their sites and supporting the network to drive aggressive reliability improvement. Bring forward best practices and network opportunities focused on improving equipment reliability.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any field), Operations, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited university or 2+ years Amazon experience providing technical support to field maintenance teams.
• Experience hiring, mentoring and developing both exempt and non-exempt employees.
• 5+ years' experience in the distribution or manufacturing field with equivalent experience in the mechanical or electrical field.
• Experience managing maintenance teams and reliability programs
