Machine Learning Scientist

DESCRIPTION

We seek a Machine Learning Scientist to lead projects on early-stage technology creation. You will work at the intersection of science and the customer in what we at Amazon call “customer-centric science”: starting with customer needs to develop and test hypotheses that inform the invention of new products.

Candidates should have experience in at least one of two areas: signal processing and/or deep learning. Candidates should be excited to work in a new signal domain that is still relatively unexplored, and to distill ambiguous customer problems down to testable scientific hypotheses.

You will work on a team with other scientists, together with a multi-disciplinary team that includes product managers, economists, engineers, and subject domain experts, with the mission to solve machine learning challenges that will make a lasting impact on society and solve key problems that impact the experience of millions of Amazon customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
· 2 yrs. industry experience in signal processing or deep learning
· 1+ year industry experience coding
· Excellent problem solving skills
· Excellent communication skills
