Amazon Prime Air is seeking a bright, motivated, hardworking individual to fill a Logistics Specialist position. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to safety & operational excellence.

The Logistics Specialist monitors a job queue to meet shipment and delivery dates. They receive parts, manage shipments both parcel and freight, and manage vendor relations. They will also be responsible for loading and unloading shipments and transporting parts. They will be responsible for coordinating with the trade compliance teams and making sure we meet international shipment quality standards. This position involves frequent lifting of materials and products. The person in this role will be required to keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of company. They must also maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of all work spaces.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment, as well as experience and knowledge of reverse logistics processes. Experience handling vendor relationships is helpful.

Physical / Environmental Demands
· Requires standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods of time
· Typically work is in a warehouse environment where the noise level is moderate to loud (Hearing protection is available on site)
· May also work is in a data center environment where the noise level is loud (Hearing protection is available on site)
· Occasionally assist in loading and unloading shipments
· Occasionally exposed to extreme cold or hot weather
· Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts
· Noise level varies and can be loud (Hearing protection is available on site)

Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon's ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· High school diploma or equivalent
· Must be able to work overtime as required
· Strong communication skills
· Must be able to lift loads of up to 49 pounds and carry them for short distances
· May participate in group lifts of 50 pounds or more
· Willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
· Able to perform physical tasks throughout they day
· Push or pull heavy objects into position
· Work in a noisy environment
· Active driver's license as needed for role
