DESCRIPTION

This role with Legal Recruiting will be responsible for closing bar-raising, often passive, talent and creating programmatic approaches to hiring including a focus on building out engagement strategies with diverse populations in partnership with client groups.

As a Recruiter with the Legal Recruiting team, you are an experienced talent scout capable of engaging, calibrating, and placing external attorneys and legal professionals, and you are trusted partner to senior hiring leaders within the legal department. You will collaborate, create, deliver results, and earn trust with Legal hiring leaders at all levels, and partner effectively cross-functionally with HRBPs, Finance, Compensation Consultants, and many other key internal partner groups in a complex global enterprise.

The person in this role will:
· Contribute to defining and executing recruiting strategy in partnership with client group and peers on the legal recruiting team.
· Insist on high standards and ensure operational excellence, including delivering an on-brand candidate and hiring manager experience.
· Lead meetings with client groups to include overall hiring progress, prioritizing open positions across an organization(s), internal movement discussions, and consult in job scoping discussions as needed.
· Own the preparation and delivery of search status reports, leading status reviews on active searches and calibration discussions.
· Use data to confidently identify roadblocks and solutions in the recruiting process as well as influence key stakeholders around important decisions.
· Prepare, deliver, and negotiate offer packages, helping Amazon attract and secure top industry talent.
· Own and program-manage additional work streams as needed.
Just as Amazon has many unique businesses across retail, operations, and technology (software/hardware/services) and media/content verticals, our Legal Recruiting team hires for a complex breadth of legal counsel and legal professional disciplines, from entry level to executive level, in retail, operations, intellectual property, real estate, cloud computing, business development and M&A, litigation, compliance, risk, labor and employment, and more. Domain experience recruiting attorneys and legal professionals is strongly preferred but not required.

This position can be located in Seattle, WA or other US Amazon Corporate office location. Seattle is preferred and relocation assistance is available.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 1+ year of progressive corporate and or search firm recruiting experience, including full life cycle recruitment.
· Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships.
· High aptitude for earning trust with clients, peers and candidates.
· High-judgement decision making and experience working with confidential personnel information.
· Experience recruiting senior talent in a corporate / in-house recruiting environment.
· Experience recruiting passive talent for a corporate enterprise client in the tech industry.
· Strong client focus and commitment to continuous improvement; ability to proactively network and establish effective working relationships, must pursue conscious cost-containment efforts in recruiting, continually seek new sourcing options, and develop creative approaches to delivering candidates to the customer.
· Strong communication skills (including document writing), organizational, and negotiation skills.
· Experience defining and executing recruiting strategy, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management.
· Resourceful, goal-oriented, and self-directed
· Strong business partnership skills, demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, as a team leader and member.
· Possess strong analytic skills with ability to create, measure, and scale the right workflow between candidates, hiring managers, and our recruiting team.
· Attorney recruitment experience, e.g. identifying, engaging, evaluating, and hiring candidates from both law firms and in-house legal departments.
· International / multi-country recruiting experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 1+ year of HR or Recruiting experience
· Recruiting technology (CRM/ATS) experience with sourcing, tracking, and managing candidates.
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent additional experience.
