JD – Business Development Intern

We're looking for ambitious and enthusiastic students to join us at the heart of our core consumer business. As a business analyst intern you will join our Business Development team in Singapore. The role provides an opportunity to understand Amazon business and processes, enhance analytical skills, and make significant business impact. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic and multicultural environment.

Role Responsibilities
• Conduct research across several sources related to competitive and market assessment in APAC market, including collation and synthesis of key information on trends, recent events and upcoming ones
• Facilitate providing insights based on synthesis of market events and to have this incorporated into communication to the respective teams in AWS
• Provide support to the APAC Competitive Intelligence lead to execute win reviews, asset creation and communication
• Support in delivering a collaboration tool or portal that facilitates sharing of key competitive intelligence
• Provide support on assessment of information in internal tools and create reports to facilitate tracking and assessment of key business metrics

Desired profile

Basic Qualifications
• You are in your last semester of a Bachelor's or Master's program
• Your degree is in Business, Marketing, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• You are familiar with Excel and the desire to learn new software/ systems.
• Analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and concepts.
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of cloud computing and AWS services is a plus
• Experience in gathering data, analysis and presentation (written and oral)
