DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Global Specialty Fulfillment Operations team supporting the fast growing Amazon Fresh and Prime Now businesses.
You will partner with an innovative operations team seeking to improve productivity and drive cost out of our fulfillment centers, helping to deliver the future online grocery experience. You will be responsible for analyzing, tracking and supporting productivity improvement initiatives, as well as reporting and driving deep dive analysis into fulfillment center costs.
This role requires strong business acumen, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent Excel and data mining skills. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with bias for action who is comfortable with ambiguity, managing large data sets, communicating with multiple business partners, deep dive analytics, and who loves to drive system and process improvements.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BA/BS degree
· 2+ years of relevant, progressive finance experience
· Demonstrated financial acumen and/or analytical experience including familiarity with concepts of forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and/or data interpretation and analysis
· 1+ years of experience performing financial and ad hoc analysis using data reporting tools
· Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MSAccess, Essbase and/or Cognos) and providing recommendations based on results of ad hoc analyses to management for strategic decision-making
