DESCRIPTION

Play a key role in operational improvement within Amazon Web Services. As a Release Manager with the Data Center Lifecycle Management team, you will be part of a team that partners across AWS Infrastructure to shape the future of data centers and the cloud.
The successful candidate will have a proven ability to operate across organizational levels and teams to influence development and own and drive the on-going support of a collaborative change management process. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, building, managing, and driving roadmaps and strategies for the program, owning communication, prioritization efforts, status, and holding a high bar for quality.

You will work across the organization with key subject matter experts and decision-makers to evaluate business opportunities, determine key initiatives, and build continuous improvement capability within DCGS's engineering teams.

Responsibilities
· Provide a role in the coordination, effective implementation, and support of Release Management.
· Continuously evaluate and refine tools and processes to ensure they are efficient, high quality, and scalable.
· Ensure excellent communication, documentation, and training is available to mentor and help support technical staff and leadership on the tools and procedures for systematic, efficient processing of all requests.
· Run the release process for global data center changes.
· Facilitate review meetings and communicate to global stakeholders.
· Provide reporting metrics for all Release Management statistics and KPIs.
· Partner closely with engineering and cross-functional stakeholder teams to develop requirements for projects and implement them effectively.
· Lead efforts to identify risks, resolve key project conflicts, and establish appropriate resolution paths.
· Challenge the status quo and foster shared understanding, transparency, autonomy, innovation and continuous learning.
· This position is required to be located in Seattle
· Some travel may be necessary, but no more than 10%

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in a technical field or technical certification in combination with a minimum of three years' experience in data center operations.
· 3-5+ years' experience in a project or program management role.
· Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements through root cause analysis and improving systems.
· Experience defining and delivering cross-functional projects/programs
