The AWS Infrastructure Capacity Planning Team is searching for a passionate and talented Sr. Regional Capacity Planner to drive capacity planning across multiple AWS regions, resulting in a single plan of record for each region. You will have goals to improve infrastructure utilization as well as availability. You will work across the AWS Organization to align demand with data center capacity and coordinate execution planning across AWS.

· Embody a true pioneering spirit, willing to “get your hands dirty” in a start-up environment meeting targeted needs for business development
· Drive alignment across a large organization on critical inputs and planning parameters resulting in a regional capacity plan
· Clearly define data requirements and metrics, working with teams to implement the entire data flow from capture to presentation and management.
· Navigate product/volume mix problems to maximize available capacity efficiently.
· Effectively partner with internal stakeholders in order to identify technological and business constraints to avoid scheduling conflicts in the presence of multiple orders competing for limited resources over the planning horizon.
· Anticipate and interpret customer requirements - and possess excellent judgment

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications
· BA/BS degree in Engineering, Finance, Business or equivalent professional experience
· 3-5 years of Supply Chain Management experience, e.g., forecasting, planning, scheduling
· Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis
· Excellent written composition and verbal communication skills
· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel (look-ups &pivot tables)
· Strong business acumen
· Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Intermediate knowledge of SQL
