Do you enjoy breaking down and solving complex problems for the benefit of a quickly expanding customer base, focusing first on our customer and working backwards? If so, the Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) supply chain team is looking for an experienced leader with a strong record of achieving results, to create and execute the worldwide AMXL supply chain by working closely with our retail and operations partners across the globe in order to effectively manage volume flows and fullness for our fulfillment centers and delivery stations. The role requires heavy index on dive deep, bias for action, and ownership.

AMXL obsesses over customers by offering a white glove service where we deliver TVs and other large items like furniture to customers' homes. Not only do we deliver large parcels, we unpack, assemble, install and sometimes even do tests, hauling away old items as needed. Check out a recent story that showcases what makes AMXL so unique.

As an Amazon Data Business Intelligence Engineer you will be working in one of the world's largest and most complex data warehouse environments. You should have deep expertise in the design, creation, management, and business use of extremely large datasets. You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with business owners to develop and define key business questions, and to build data sets that answer those questions. You should be expert at designing, implementing, and operating stable, scalable, low cost solutions to flow data from production systems into the data warehouse and into end-user facing applications. You should be able to work with business customers in understanding the business requirements and implementing reporting solutions. Above all you should be passionate about bringing large datasets together to answer business questions and drive change.

The following provides some detail of the job duties and responsibilities.

· Manipulate/mine data from database tables (MySQL, SQL server, Oracle, Data Warehouse, FC log files)
· Develop websites using (RUBY, HTML, PHP, Java, AJAX) which would allow users throughout the FC including the leadership team the ability to graphically understand issues the team is seeing as well as action items to solve these issues
· Maintaining database up-time to include restarting of servers, etc.
· Providing analytical support not only for the facility to improve results
· Root cause research into identifying process breakdowns within departments and providing data through use of various skill sets to find solutions to breakdowns
· Analyze and report data findings and complete reports on building capacity, inventory control metrics, error reporting, and performance management control

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Computer Science and/or 2+ years of Amazon experience
· Prior experience accessing and using analytical tools (Excel, Databases, SQL).
