We are looking for a highly passionate Audio software engineer who likes to solve challenging problems and raise the bar of real time Audio communication and Audio quality. Being part of core Audio Software development team, you will work as a subject matter expert and owner of Audio quality, benchmarking standards, evidence based testing, tools and processes.

You will spend your time as a pro-active, hands-on, self-motivated, quality obsessed Software Engineer to enhance the customer experience of Amazon Chime. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge of technologies related to audio signal processing, real time Audio, collaboration and streaming protocols. As a part of core Audio development team your responsibilities will include:
· Innovative, design new diagnostic/troubleshooting/benchmarking tools, techniques, metrics, processes to help areas like:
a) Audio quality issue triage and analysis in standard based data driven way
b) Tune and optimize audio signal processing algorithms / functions
c) Troubleshoot and root cause Audio issues and help to find solutions
· Conduct evidence-based development testing and validate Audio quality / performance issues arising from heterogeneous hardware, software, devices, platforms and environments
· Interpret and follow through team's Audio quality related issues. Isolate, troubleshoot, document and help to find solutions for them till successful resolution. Be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
· Develop and Perform audio regression tests and generate audio performance reports
· Lead the Alpha, Beta level deployment effort and closely collaborate with QA, Support, Research team.
· Writing C/C++/Go test code, Python/Ruby scripts, use industry standard Software and tools for acoustic testing and data analysis.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BS or MS degree in EE, Signal Processing, Computer Science or related field
· 3+ years of experience in Audio quality, DSP standard based testing/benchmarking or tool development.
· Proficient in scripting language, C, C++, Go (or demonstrably superior skills in a modern language not on this list).
· Ability to work in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment
· Strong attention to detail and passionate about quality
· Ability to think creatively and solve problems
