DESCRIPTION

Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented commercial attorney to support Amazon Web Services, a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon.com. Amazon Web Services is at the forefront of the cloud computing and service industry providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, browsers and more.

This Associate Corporate Counsel will primarily support AWS's Business Development and Marketing teams in India and around the Asia-Pacific region. They will negotiate strategic enterprise and technology licensing agreements, assist with marketing initiatives, handle pre-litigation disputes and inquiries, and work proactively with regulators and policy makers. Typical transactions will range from standard contracts to complex, high-dollar-value strategic alliance agreements.

The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. Compensation will be based on experience and includes equity compensation.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Law degree (J.D. or equivalent) from a leading university and/or law school.
· Licensed to practice law in India, or the U.S. or other common law jurisdiction.
· Minimum 2 years of experience.
· Strong transactional background.
