The AWS Business Development Associate Program (ABDA) – APAC

In AWS APAC, the charter of the Business Development (BD) Team is to accelerate the business of today and build the business of tomorrow. We do this by incubating new go-to-market initiatives, owning strategic multi-year big bets on behalf of the broader business; and, running experiments that have the potential to deliver non-linear returns. The ABDA program is a rotational program that exposes the successful candidate to each of the four Business Development pillars. As a full time Business Development Associate, you will work across the APAC field organization and gain a unique insight into the internal workings of the world's fastest growing $Bn IT organization. At each rotation, you will leverage subject matter experts to independently own and deliver a project. We hire builders, and the ABDA program is designed to provide the optimal mentorship, guidance, and opportunities to allow you to build.

The ABDA program offers a 6 month rotation into each of the following BD disciplines:

Platforms
Are you ready to build solutions based on the latest innovative AWS technology? Are you excited by the next big disruption such as Internet of Things, Virtual Reality, and Artificial Intelligence? The Platform BD function is responsible for defining a business strategy for our services and helping our customers transform their business on our latest technology.

Enterprise
Do you have the tenacity and the ambition to drive cloud adoption in APAC's largest enterprises? The Enterprise BD function is responsible for running enterprise as a business across APAC, helping enterprises retire technical debt, enabling our customers to innovate, and acquiring new customers.

Startups
Would you like to be part of the team managing relationships with the Venture Capitalist (VC), Accelerators and Incubators (A&I), and influencing decision making towards utilizing Amazon Web Services as the basis for their portfolio companies' infrastructure? Do you have the business savvy, the technical insight, and the background necessary to mesh with the startup/VC/A&I ecosystem and to help further establish Amazon as the top of the mind brand recall amongst the startups?

Sales Cycle Acceleration (SCA)
Do you have the analytical and program management skills to create tools, processes and frameworks that help customer accelerate their time to value on the AWS cloud? The SCA BD function helps customers overcome commercial and competitive barriers to cloud adoption by working on the most strategic customer opportunities and amplifying the customer feedback loop to remove systemic blockers.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Business acumen and the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
- A “can-do” attitude with strong ownership to execute end-to-end projects.
- Results driven with the analytical capability to provide data driven arguments to innovate and/or simplify current processes and practices.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing stakeholder requests.
- A passion for AWS and driving cloud computing adoption in Asia through prescriptive go-to-market strategies.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- A stellar academic and/or professional record
- Analytical and quantitative skills and ability to utilize Excel and/or other software to provide data to support your analysis.
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
