We are seeking a 3D Design Technologist to help us innovate in the next generation of imagery at Amazon. Our ideal technologist would work in a cross-disciplinary engineering group and have experience in researching, designing, and implementing 3D tools to meet the needs of our internal team. Specialization in modern 3D package workflows and programming are essential for success in this role.

We work on Amazon-scale problems that deliver real customer impact, and also engage in cross-company “Special Projects”, bringing entirely new imagery-centric innovations to market. Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 3-7 years of professional experience working in a fast-paced 3D production environment
· Experience in building tools to make 3D artists more effective
· Knowledge in Python and PyMel scripting
· Must be able to show technical proficiency across lighting and rendering, texturing, and graphics-related programming languages such as shaders and python
· Must be able to think creatively to resolve technical challenges and limitations
· Must be well versed in Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop and other relevant software
· Proficiency in Python
· Excellent communications, presentation and interpersonal skills
· Be able to excel in a fast-paced collaborative production environment
· Innovative and self-directed
· Ability to create plugins or apps that span multiple modeling and texturing programs.
