The Purchasing department is in charge of the selection of suppliers and the negotiation of contracts for Amadeus sas.
The Development & Commercial team (D&C) perimeter covers purchasing activities related to all Research & Development (R&D) Product Engineering Groups and all commercial divisions (Airline IT, Distribution, New Business) for the site of Nice including Sophia Antipolis and Villeneuve Loubet.
The D&C team is leading RFPs, contract negotiation and follow up in cooperation with internal customer divisions, finance and legal  teams.
The D&C Purchasing Manager plans and manages the team activities, participates to RFPs and negotiations, ensures reporting of activities and warnings or alerts to the management.
The scope includes IT services, software, hardware and consulting contracts.
 
Key accountabilities
 
Gather requests and analyse them to determine the most appropriate source.
Select vendors and negotiate prices and terms, taking into account customer needs and Amadeus policies and business conducts.
Ensure timely signature of contracts and service to internal customers.
Evaluate suppliers and manage relationship.
Develop plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
Suggest alternatives / improvements / new techniques in processes, flows, operational models and plans
Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receive guidance from senior manager
Technical/functional/ business/ commercial awareness
Moderate budgetary impact on business
Work independently and has significant latitude to solve problems
 
Experience
 
3 years or more in the area of Purchasing or similar experience
 
Education
 
BAC +5, Business or Engineering School or equivalent, vocational degree, or equivalent work experience
English
 
Specific skills:
Team management
Negotiation
Financial / business case basics
Contractual aspects related to purchasing
MS Office, SAP MM and SRM is a plus
