Team Description
Part of the Western Europe, Middle East and Africa (WEMEA) regional organisation, the WEMEA Knowledge Management unit role is to support the WEMEA business objectives with direct investments into sustainable knowledge acquisition and development in the areas of products, segments and travel technology.
Main Responsabilities
The internship will be an opportunity to gain skills in the Knowledge Management area and develop the abilities required to cordinate knowledge management within an international and multicultural business environment.
Key areas of focus for this internship will be as follows:
1. Development and deployment of a new collaborative environment
- Participate in the set-up of a new framework for Knowledge Management activities, including the development of learning paths, the identification of subject matter experts, the collection of best practices and the execution of a change management plan.
- Be part of the regional pilot team for the deployment of a new social collaboration tool.
2. Communications activities and content development
- Contribute to raise awareness and keep momentum on knowledge management activities via regular communication (e.g. articles in internal newsletters)
- Participate in maintaining and managing content of the WEMEA community and Knowledge Centre (SharePoint-based).
- Creating and adding content of the WEMEA community and Knowledge Centre (SharePoint based).
3. Knowledge Management activities
- Participate in the collection and understanding of needs for knowledge.
- Participate in the organisation and material development, such as Academies or webinars, by participating in the preparation and execution phases and helping the the post -activity communication.
Requirements
Education
• Currently studying for a Business degree in marketing communications, Knowledge Management (preferably) or HR as key focus
Specific knowledge and Abilities & Skills
• Fluent in English with excellent English writing skills
• SharePoint
• Knowledge on programs such as Adobe Photoshop or Camtasia as a plus
• Excellent communication skills
