The Reservation Data eXchanges department is in charge of managing all the exchanges (in/out) between Amadeus and our partners (airlines, other Global Distribution systems). This department manages millions of messages received from our partners and millions of updates in our core business the “Total Travel Record”.
Within this department, there is a Data Consistency stream. Its objective is to handle and ease the recovery of the “Total Travel Record” corruptions, finding solutions to perform the recovery as fast as possible, as well as to provide to the end user an easy way to solve the corruption.
When new software or new functionalities are loaded and activated in Amadeus, it happens that this causes corruptions in some Amadeus records (Passenger Name records for example).
Those corruptions have an operational impact and can have a serious financial stakes, Amadeus partners and agencies may not be able to update the “Passenger name record” and a traveller may not be able to embark and fly.
When this corruption covers quite a large amount of records, it becomes tedious and even dangerous to recover manually.
There are several ways to interact with the Amadeus System and we already uses two old fashions way to interact with Amadeus (the EHLLAPI and the Amadeus Apiv2).
Your mission will be to study one or more technologies and recovery solutions based on the Amadeus “WebServices” and finally propose the most relevant one.
In order to cope with the unpredictable recoveries, the solution and environment must be:
· timeliness with the ability to implement new algorithms within hours
· easily adaptable for any new recovery cases (functional and technical ones)
· easily deployable
· able to cover massive recoveries
The candidate will participate to prototype and ultimately develop an “End-user” solution and environment. There is a strong need to ease our capabilities to handle massive recoveries.
The trainee will learn the Amadeus “Total Travel Record” as well as how to interact with the Amadeus “WebServices” and will face concrete recoveries resolutions during the internship.
