Team Description

This internship will be hosted in the Data Scientist team of Travel Intelligence in Amadeus.
The Travel Intelligence department focuses on identifying services/products that Amadeus can provide to its customers (e.g. airlines and travel agencies) for better managing business processes and maximizing revenue opportunities.

MainResponsibilities

Most of the times, we don't know which are the origin(s) and the destination(s) of a trip (i.e. O&Ds). We only know which flights (i.e. segments) have been booked.
Different algorithms are used to reconstruct the O&Ds, more or less efficient and more or less simple.
The objective of the internship is to build a 'simple' O&D reconstruction without loosing the quality.

The simplicity of the algorithnm can be calculated with:

· the number of parameters / contants used
· the number of steps
· the intelligence of the steps / parameters / constants
· the calculation time
· etc.

As a first step, the quality of the algorithm may be calculated using our best O&D reconstruction.

Bonus:

· Creation of samples to train / evaluate the algorithms
