As part of the Corporate Strategy division, the role of the Business Strategy Team is to support the top management in defining the long term vision/strategy at corporate level, identify organic and inorganic opportunities (M&A or partnership) to grow Amadeus revenues across or beyond the current portfolio, and also act as an internal strategy consultancy on any strategic topics that may require clarification at top management level
The projects cover hot topics for Amadeus where strategic thinking and insights are needed to define the vision and take decision. It could be high-level strategy definition (do we want to enter a specific business? how to leverage a new business model? do we want to acquire a specific company?), go-to-market strategy definition (what would be the right customers to target, value proposition, ... to reach the market?) or even work on corporate strategy tools (who do we want to be as a company in 10 years? what should be our priority acquisition targets?...).
The intern will participate on specific projects with a Strategy Manager/Senior Strategy Manager. He/she will only participate on one project at a time and project length varies from 6 weeks (mini-study) to ~2-3 months for a complete project.
The specific project he/she will work on depends on the time of the arrival as the pipeline of projects is dynamic. One example could be a project that we are about to kick off focusing on identifying new growth opportunities in Travel.
