Indeed, Inventory Production Definition team holds a strategic position by handling the heart of the Inventory of hundreds of airlines.
 
Main Responsabilities
Every night, Inventory application send a flight date feed to airlines’ Revenue Management systems (RMS). RMS then compute the optimized configuration, flight date per flight date, and send recommendations to Inventory to tune accordingly the availability of each class. The nightly Inventory feed, called BIF for Bulk Inventory Feed, is thus critical for airlines.
The intern will help the team to develop a tool to track BIF activities. For this purpose, he will have to understand BIF current mechanism and participate in interviewing Inventory Product definition team members to collect requirements. Here is an idea of first requirements: this tool should allow Inventory Product definition to know when the BIF is scheduled for a given airline, to define which version of the message is used, to analyse if the BIF content is correct, to be alerted if a BIF was not sent last night, to check at what time were sent the 10 last BIF.
No constraints on the technology nor programming language to use.
