Team description:

The merchandising strategies can be very different depending on the market, but also, they should not contradict each other. Moreover, within the marketing department of an airline, several people are working on different markets, so it can become complicated to have a global and consistent overview.

Main decription:

Goal of this internship would be to understand the current business difficulties that airline can face building comprehensive merchandising strategies. Then, the intern will help the team to design and code a graphical solution aiming at giving a visual representation of all applicable merchandising strategies.

This prototype should be embedded within the current AAM product, using real airline data.

The intern will participate inbenchmarking and choosingthe most appropriate technical solution. Google map can be used as map technology, but other solutions can be studied too.

AAM user interface is currently using Angular web framework, so the prototype will most likely use this technology too.

Merchandising strategies can be configured thanks to almost 100 different criteria. It goes from market definition to customer identification or flights characteristics.
