Team description:

The Amadeus Anytime Merchandising userinterface (written in AngularJS) lets airline staff define, adjust and monitorall of their merchandising techniques, i.e. all the commercial techniques put in place to optimize their sales. For instance, defining packages of services ('VIP package' composed of airport parking + fast-track security + WIFI on board), personalized discounts and email campaigns. The performances of these techniques can also be monitored within the same UI. Whatif we couldassist users in this critical mission by providing them a world-class chatbot that would answer their questions or point them to the appropriate documentation?

Main responsibilities:

The goal of the internship is to prototype a chatbot integration within the current existing product. The chatbot could be used for several missions (from most basic to most sophisticated):

- providing additional information on the data (fields, charts...)upon user's request

- pointing to stored documentation (e.g. FAQ)

- mutli-lingual support

- ask for ticket creation when a bug is detected

- personnal assistant (voice recognition)

- trigger advanced queries (e.g. 'what is the last merchandising technique changed that applies on the Spanish market?')

A successful candidate:

- has a very good academic knowledge on artificial intelligence and natural language processing in particular (NER, dependency parsing, language modelling...)

- has already used text-mining libraries such as NLTK, TextBlob or Gensim

- is able to make educated choices for the suitable chatbot solution to integrate within the current application architecture (AngularJS UI, interacting with backend serverswith JSON messages), he/she will have to take into account

- is proficient in developping software in standard scriptingor object-orientedprogramming languages (e.g. AngularJS, Python)

- proactively proposes ideas and is able to find his/her way in a rather autonomous fashion
