The internship is an opportunity for you to work in the core IT business of the travel industry.

Are we sure the flights we propose to our customers still have available seats?

Internship will take place in the Journey & Availability for Shopping department, where we are developing world leading software for the flight search business and more precisely on the journey planning and availability functionalities.

Being sure that the proposed flights are really available is of paramount importance for the business of the airlines. Indeed, as a customer, being rejected while trying to book on a flight that has been proposed to us gives a negative image of the airline and provokes loss of revenue.

In order to avoid this, we are constantly measuring this quality information with a KPI called Bookability, which literally means the fact to be able to book.

For the moment such issues are investigated manually, taking several minutes and even sometimes hours to understand the root cause. The aim of this internship is to build a tool that would automatically detect and analyse the drops in availability quality (bookability).

Our C++ application validates millions of travel solutions per second for airlines, travel agencies, and travellers all around the world. It has a very interesting architecture and efficient algorithms. Since it is widely used, the quality and efficiency of the support is extremely important.

The intern will learn all the important aspects of software development and will design and implement both the back-end and front-end parts of the tool.

This internship is an opportunity to:

· Interact and learn with technical and functional experts
· Put into practice C++ back-end development and modern web technologies such as AngularJS interacting with Rest APIs
· Be part of an agile team with an excellent team spirit
· Help the team to elaborate an application with immediate and true benefits for support teams
· Be creative regarding the design and presentation of the UI

The UI presentation could range from a pure and simple interface to a virtual agent interacting with people in natural language. Creativity is welcomed.

Position Requirements:

· Computer science: C++, Web, UI
· Good English level
· Ability to learn quickly
· Inventiveness
· Good analytical skills
