Purpose

Amadeus’ IP Group is seeking an IP Analyst/Attorney to lead in various strategic IP initiatives directed to protect and enhance the value of Amadeus' intellectual property in support of and in complement to Amadeus’ Business Units.

Key accountabilities

· Sharpen strategic approaches as to the management of IP within Amadeus.
· Organize IP oversight, including using key results, performance indicators and trends to support the management of IP
· Optimize the quality and value of Amadeus’ IP portfolio.
· Oversee internal department knowledge sharing and transversal cooperation enhancements.
· Supporting the processing of various country-specific IP incentive schemes.
· Identifying, enhancing and communicating the value of IP activities to the Amadeus organization
· Map continuously the IP assets of the company per technology and per divisions.
· Supervise Communication relating to IP value inside and outside the organization.
· Oversee a watch procedure regarding external IP rights
· Utilize IP intelligence to support efforts in competitive analysis, technology-competency mapping, white-space identification, etc.
· Identifying and driving IP-based collaboration opportunities; conduct and manage IP business undertakings
· Assist in drafting and negotiating any license agreements or IP deal; monitor compliance of requirements under such agreements.

Education

· Engineering Degree or equivalent technical training (ideally in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering)
· Qualified or part-qualified as a European or US Patent Attorney

Specific competencies

· Interest in IP laws and ongoing developments.
· Strong technical/functional/business/commercial awareness and acumen.
· Able to understand corporate functions and how IP can contribute
· Follow latest trends and developments in own field and adapt these in own job/organization
· Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish effective working relationships with engineers, management and colleagues within the IP Group, and ability to work effectively in an international multi-cultural environment.
· Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking, and record of demonstrating leadership and organizational skills in managing complex legal matters with multiple stakeholders.
· Experience in planning, leading and managing IP-based tasks and projects; familiarity with formal project management methodologies useful.
· A candidate should carry a passion for business and IP, joined with an excitement for travel and technology!
