Purpose

The objective is to be the financial partner of the SGB business unit, supporting them in the implementation of the high level strategy of the Company. The main areas of focus include reporting (analysis of the financial performance of the different new businesses units) and planning (Long Term Plan, Budget, and Forecasts).

This position will take care mainly of some of the business controlling of some units (Payments & Rail) and the coordination of the project part of all SGB units (PCC Scope). This position requires some interaction with Amadeus Top Management.

Key accountabilities

1. Business Planning & Controlling

Scope: she/he will be responsible for reporting and analysing each business unit performance against prior year and budget, according to the needs set by the commercial areas, and by the senior management of the company, in order to facilitate decisions related to business.

Main responsibilities include:

· Facilitate decisions regarding resource allocation
· Provide analysis per product, market, group of customers in order to facilitate business decisions
· Ad-hoc analysis requested by the commercial areas and the senior management of the company

These activities should be carried out taking into account the needs of Corporate Controlling and Corporate Strategy departments.

Main responsibilities include:

· Fulfilling all the reporting and planning needs of the Corporate Controlling and Corporate Strategy departments about financial statements reporting and other business indicators required by this group, in a timely and concise manner.
· Following the planning and reporting procedures and processes defined by Corporate Controlling and corporate Strategy.
· Providing support and tools to the Commercial Unit Management in the planning processes
· To ensure consistency of data within the global reporting of the group

2. Business cases Evaluation & Negotiation Support

Scope: She/ he will actively participate in business cases related to new solutions, new customers...and key strategic exercises such as long term planning, market segmentation or market sizing.

Main responsibilities include:

· Supervising or elaborating the corresponding business case for the unit, properly modelling and reflecting the agreements conditions
· Coordinating with the Investment Committee the presentation of Business Cases related to the area under control.
· Attending customer meetings.
· Participating in long term planning, market segmentation and sizing

3. Others

Support to Top Management and to Business Unit Management

· Preparation of analysis and data for Investment Committee, SGB Monthly Meetings and Excom
· Align the SGB reporting methodology, process and layout with the overall Group Controlling guidelines.
· Reduction of the manual and non-value adding workload by standardizing and automating the reporting process

Other

· Participating in trainings
· Use of department tools to improve efficiency and creation of new ones
· Manage the workload
· Ensure the quality of the work and the satisfaction of internal customers, with a clear focus on value added assessment more than on purely financial figures
· Explore new opportunities for expansion

Education

· University Degree in Economics/Mathematics/Statistics or Business.
· Masters in Finance or Business

Relevant work experience

· 2-5 years’ experience as a Controller in a multinational environment and with interaction with Senior Management.
· Experience in analysis of cost, price and profitability drivers for specific products, customers and/or groups of customers

Specific competencies

· Business understanding: Travel industry/ GDS ot IT knowledge will be an important asset

· Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
