Team description

Group Events Management (GEM) comprises of:

Global Events Team run outstanding, cost-effective customer & internal events in Amadeus Executive Briefing Centres (EBC), or at other strategic destinations & venues around the world.

This team objectives are:

· Reward customer loyalty;
· Showcase new products,
· Demonstrate key alliances in the markets;
· Acquire, cross-sell, up-sell & retain customers;
· Network & share information with external invitees;
· Communicate corporate messages.
· For internal events, communicate internal policies, strategies & best practices;
· Stimulate new ideas & innovation.
· To optimise Amadeus? attendance and expenditure at Industry Events by increasing synergies between regions & business units providing key data of attendance & expenditure;
· Publishing relevant Travel & Tourism Industry Events in the on-line calendar, keep track of Amadeus planned activities at these events, & make the information accessible to our internal audience; Manage major company participations at high profile Industry Events
· Provide key consultancy & event project management expertise to secure successful Industry Event participations for Amadeus;
· Liaise with external Industry Event providers. Booth Design & Build
· Facilitate and manage, or consult on the RFP process with creative agencies, negotiate costs & secure & deliver well designed trade show booths.

The EBC teams works with Amadeus Hosts & Event Coordinators on all business objectives, logistical, technical, cultural & social aspects.

are the corporate sales enabler supporting the strategic, sales, marketing, press & public relations initiatives of Amadeus globally, by hosting customised high-level meetings, briefings & events in a professional, dedicated high-tech environment in which Amadeus strengthens strategic, commercial & technical customer relationships

Subject:

As a part of the GEM Team, the trainee will participate in the following activities:

- Visual Communication: Create visual supports such as Web & Mobile graphics, Presentations, Infographics & Printed materials

- Mobile Applications (The Amadeus Events Mobile apps and EBC mobile apps): support with the conception and update of the Group Events Management mobile orientation

- Provide assistance with the various administrative activities required by the Department including collation of statistics, maintain the online calendars service at a high and professional level, collecting data and creating reports and presentations for Global Events and EBC Team

- Group Events Management Community of Practice on the Amadeus Intranet: support with maintenance and development (vehicle for communication and sharing of information)

- Survey Management: assist with survey management for customer, industry, and internal events, and the required analyses of collected data.

- Amadeus Intranet: assist with update of content, design, and development of Group Events Management Knowledge Centre

- End year report: collect data, design and distribute the end year report

- Internal and external communication: support on ad hoc communication projects: e-mailings, newsletters, articles on our news centre

Required Skills:

· University student in one of the following programmes:
marketing / communication / business
· Languages: Excellent English (both written and spoken), French is a plus, and any other languages an advantage
· Business environment understanding, specifically a large international corporation.
· Strong presentation skills with ability to summarize and present content in an engaging way.
· Basic graphic design skills: creation of banners, infographics, etc.
· Ability to conceive new ideas (vision)
· Confident communicator - Excellent literacy skills
· Well structured & organised
· Team player with a capacity to work autonomously.

PC Skills

· Advanced user of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point).
· Advanced user of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and/or In-design are mandatory) in order to create or touch-up images for internet/web/e-mail and collateral publications
· Comfortable understanding of HTML and CSS languages.
· A first experience in the use of an email marketing solution is a plus (For example Silverpop or equivalent).
