Position Overview :

Within the Central Engineering, the job will be associated with Rolling Stock & Component, in the Train Sub System Department. The role requires a  Sub System Engineer working on Doors. Some of the principal areas of responsibility will be project and tenders activities:  lessons learned and  validation follow up, supplier follow  up in term of validation,test follow up in house and at suppliers facilities. Some of the challenges of the role, would be  to maximize the change management in order to secure standardization of solution process and aligning solution with business maturity model.

Responsibilities include some of the following :

Project
o Act as the referent for Door  systems during the project life cycle :
 Prepare Validation plan review
 Ensure the quality of the deliverables ( test procedure, test report, validation plan)
 Follow up of the lessons learned ( REX) activities)
 Follow up of the reliability growth of doors system
 Perfomance of the test in house on Doors test bench.

Tender Phase
o Analyses customers requirements :
 Analysis of the supplier proposal in term of validation
 Drives the supplier technical proposals
o Analyses the suppliers offers together with Sourcing
o Deliverables :
 Budget
 Validation plan

R&D and expertise
o Participation to Catalogue product definition/ strategy
o Participation to new product development and R&D roadmap
o Participation to 8D/ quality activities as a door Expert
o Participation to the Doors Expert Network worldwide
o Leader for training Worlwide on the doorsystem
Skills and Education: 

Essential : Graduated with a master degree, preferably in mechanical along with a strong expertise (minimum 5 years) is required for this role. You demonstrate good communication and organizational skills (ability to meet deadlines). You are result oriented and show intellectual curiosity and creativity. You are fluent in English and are eager to work with autonomy in an international environment and to face the challenges of the new Alstom.

The job will be located in Saint Ouen, France.
