Introduction

 Alstom is expanding its activity towards digital mobility oportunities. The application domain of this  open position  relates to Multimodal Supervision. A new innovation project is started in a collaborative context at IRT SystemX to contribute to the realization of the ambition.

The main goal of the project aims at supervizing and regulating the transport network flows through predictive behavior approaches.

The project has two objectives:

- Raises the technology maturity of  recent innovations.

- Pursue the innovation works jointly with research laboratories to introduce new principles and services in the urban transport domain

This project will last 3 years and should lead to demonstrators in one or two cities

Position Overview:

The purpose of the job is to demonstrate the feasibility of new mechanisms, the candidate will have to follow, support and validate the accademic works in such a way that the maturity of the technology can be clearly stated ( TRL ladder). The role will have  to interface the  required technology bricks, integrate them in demonstratrs, characterize the  performance and the maturity of the various systems components.  The work will be done  in the premises of SystemX and at test sites.

Responsibilities include some of the following:

·  Lead the make-up of demonstrators that will integrate the research results as well as others assets, stemming from a former project as well as the inputs from other project's partners, inculbation activities from Alstom  and opendata.
·  Invest in a deep understanding of multimodal use-cases, and initiates POCs with Start-ups and trainees, to explore various paths and novelties
·  The innovative skills of the candidate  would lead to challenge initial Project /Alstom proposals or to open-up new paths towards the desired results

Skills and Education: 

Desired: You come with experience involving software design , or afirst position in case of PhD. You have a vast knowledge in computer science,  IOT and Big Data technologies and some background in A.I. would be also welcomed.

Essential:  Scientific education, graduated at least with a master degree and a software degree / option is required for this role. A PhD degree would be appreciated. You have a keen interest in multicriteria optimization , O.R. problems, and able to follow scientific works on these topics ( mathematics), to understand the associated innovation potential.

The role is located in Saint-Ouen, France.
