Purpose of the Job
1 - Ensures signaling parameter activities for a specific mainline project.
Parameter activities aims to:
- Define the data in coherence with technical specifications
- Generate the files needed for validation and installation activities
2 - Ensures signaling validation activities for a specific mainline project.
Validation aims to check that :
- Signaling Principles have been correctly defined
- Signaling Principles have been implemented correctly for every instance of Signaling Charts
Organisation Structure
Alstom Transport Information Solution Is part of Interlocking Application Design organisation.
Organisational Reporting
Direct reporting to the Site IXL Application Design management.

Responsibilities
· Realize the Data parameter activities :
- with respect of SNCF process
- in compliance with “SNCF Plans Techniques”
- by using the different informatics tools
· Check the Data parameters and ensures the compliance with the specifications
· Establish the delivery reports
· Deliver to Data Validation Engineer the files needed for tests on platform and on simulation environment
· Defines the validation strategy, in accordance with :
- Customer requirements
- System architecture
- Signaling Charts
-Signaling Principles
· Configures validation environment & tools (test bench, recording tools, simulated I/O, …)
- Establishes validation procedures (test sheets) and criteria
- Performs validation :
· Runs validation procedures (tests, …)
· Produces validation results report and associated Change Requests (defects)
- Keeps a strong link with the Signaling Charts Definition Engineer, the Signaling Principles Definition Engineer, the Data Preparation Engineer, the Data Validation Engineer and the WPO Application Engineering
- Manages his/her work products under configuration management
- Cross-verifies validation procedures and criteria produced by his peers on other projects
- Applies and ensures application of processes and standards
- Contributes to continuous improvement (ROE, process, tools, …)
Qualifications
· Engineering or Master Degree
· Industrial experience, preferably in signalling company or in an industrial context with high level of safety and reliability constraints
· Analytical thinking ability
· Ability to liaise with Design, Safety and Verification & Validation teams
· Rigorous and process oriented
· Focused on results
· Fluent in French and English
· Knowledge of railway industry and signalling (if possible in interlocking systems)
· Resilient
