JOB TITLE: INTERFACE SUB-SYSTEM ENGINEER
PURPOSE OF THE JOB :
Withing Engineering dedicated to Signalling France, in the ATC (Automatic Train Control) Department; we are looking for a Sub-System Engineer in charge of defining interfaces between signalling equipment and the rolling stock.
This role will be the opportunity for you to work with various rolling stock team (Alstom or not), get exposure and develop your network across the organisation worldwide and discuss directly with customer.
POSITION IN THE ORGANIZATION:
Signalling France Saint-Ouen Regional Center Project Engineering
Organisational Reporting:
Hierarchical reporting to the Automatic Train Control Group Manager
Operational reporting to the relevant ATC Sub-System Team leader of the project.
Network & links:
· Engineering: Design team, Verification & Validation, and Test &Commissioning team, Platform Team, EMC team.
· Project : Project Engineering Manager (PrEM), Installation team
· External Interface: External Suppliers, Customers
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accountable for:
The delivery of the specification document of the interfaces between signalling equipment and the rolling stock and associating elements at the right moment to the project.
Responsible for:
· Defining and implementing the functional, performance and train level requirements of the ATC subsystem
· Integrating the ATC subsystem into the train (mechanically and electrically)
· Defining the scope of supply between ATC supplier and Rolling Stock
· Verifying the installation plan (RS schematics, installation drawing …).
· Collaborating with ATC team in order to guarantee compliance and homogeneity of the ATC solution with the contract
· Supporting project team (ATC Leader, installation team, Industrialisation Manager) as far as ATC equipments are concerned.
· Supporting Test & Commissioning area during First Train tests
· Controlling of changes after design changes including impact analysis.
· Applying of the Metier rules and processes.
· Contributing to the return of experiences on his/her domain (Process, Schematic, Apparatus)
PROFILE:
Desired Knowledge / Experience:
· 2 or 3 years of experience expected in Railway domain
· Mechanical Engineering preferably applied to Railway products
· Good knowledge of electrical synoptic
· Knowledge of electrical apparatus would be an asset
· Knowledge in development or integration of ERTMS Signalling System (UNISIG Standards).
· Knowledge in development or integration of European Legacy Signalling System (KVB, TBL1+, ATB, PZB, …)
· Knowledge of the railways standards (EN 50155, EN 61373, EN 45545, EN 68000 series)
· Good English oral & written expression. Other languages are assets.

· Structured and organized with Hands-on approach.
· Open-mindedness, curiosity, will to understand and learn more
