Within the Central Rolling Stock Engineering Organisation, based in Paris, we are looking for an Electrical Architect, in order to support regional and very high speed train projects.

Purpose of the Job:

Within the project Train Control team, in close cooperation with Train System and Train Design teams you are in charge of the definition and optimization of the train electrical architecture.

You are responsible for:

·        Defining the power distribution strategy

·        Defining electrical functional variants and harness/ cubiclemodularity, based on car modularity and in compliance with routing, integration and industrial principles

·        Validating technical choices and standardization for electrical devices and interfaces

·        Defining the rules for harnesses interfaces at train zones interfaces (location, number and type of connectors)

·        Ensuring consistency between functional and installation design

·        Validating the detailed design of harnesses and cubicles and their compliance with the electrical architecture

·        Managing technical issues linked to engineering definition of harnesses and cubicles

·        Capitalizing lessons learnt and managing continuous improvement

Qualifications:

Strong train electrical engineering knowledge acquired on several projects

Hands-on experience inCAD of wire harnesses / electrical cubicles

Good knowledge of harnesses and cubicles industrialisation

Spoken and written English is mandatory

Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills
