Description de l'offre

Alstom

The Railway industry today is characterized by both a strong and sustained growth across the world. The trends that drive this are well known: environmental challenges, population growth, urbanization and increasing demands for mobility.
With 6B€ of Sales and around 30,000 employees based in over 60 countries, Alstom develop & market the most complete range of systems, equipment and services offered today in the railway sector. Today we offer our customers solutions that feature a seamless blend of diverse technologies, ensuring optimal interfaces, along with flexible implementation and real synergy in innovation.

Context

Prognostics and health management (PHM) consists of assessing the current and predicting the future health state of a system to optimize its maintenance. PHM is performed from the embedded extraction of relevant features named health indicators (HIs), from which symptoms are generated. Then, some processing algorithms elaborate diagnosis and prognosis that are used to maximize the system’s availability and reliability by optimizing the maintenance schedule.

Job description

One of the main challenges of PHM is to develop a solution that is effectively compliant with the customer need. The principal difficulties are then:

·  How to express the requirements for PHM systems?
·  How to develop PHM systems that answers those requirements?
·  How to validate them with quantitative criteria?

In this context, we are looking for PHM Engineer whose mission will consist in:

·  Leadership role in PHM systems development
·  Contact with customers and other Alstom Transport entities to understand the need and translate it into quantitative performance metrics and criteria
·  Definition of the PHM system development roadmap with the different tasks
·  Monitor and manage the development process
·  Manage the documents database
·  Validate the compliance of the system to the defined requirements

·  Background and experience:
·  The successful candidate will have an engineering degree.
·  Knowledge or previous experience with railway industry is a plus especially in brake control / brake equipment.
·  Exposure to PHM or experience with maintenance is a plus.
·  Background in reliability engineering (including maintainability and testability) is a plus.
·  Experience in performing FMMEAs (Failure Mode & Mechanisms Effect Analysis) is a plus.
·  Experience in design of experiments (DOE) to specify the relevant tests is a plus.
·  Experience in assessing the impact of predictive maintenance on service reliability and availability by using appropriate models, and in designing systems for testability is a plus.
·  Experience in Modelling and simulation activities of physical systems and degradation laws for PHM is a plus.

·  Languages: fluency in English; French, Spanish or Italian a plus.

Candidate skills

·  Software skills:
·  At least one of MATLAB , R, Python

·  Technical skills:
·  General engineering knowledge: mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, information technology…
