Communication Solutions Architect
Based: Saint-Ouen, Paris area, France

JOB PURPOSE :
Reporting to the IS&T Support functions solutions Manager of the Enterprise Architecture Team / Department, you will be in charge of developing and maintaining the Enterprise Architecture and you will act as a control tower to ensure overall solutions consistency on the Communications solutions perimeter. Your principal responsibility is to ensure the Alstom's and IS&T Strategies and objectives are fully reflected in the Support functions solutions IS&T portfolios.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITES :

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities :
o Build strategic roadmaps (3 years plan) for Alstom Transport Communication solutions to continuously rationalize the solutions landscape, in collaboration with businesses and IS&T teams (Business Partners, Projects and Operations) o Ensure alignment with Support functions global business processes for Communications solutions (face off Support functions)
o Collect business demands from Business Partners and Support functions
o Maintain architecture referential (business process, application, data) regarding Communications solutions
o Contribute to and validate project scoping, general design and b-case. Ensure b-case follow up (value realization). Ensure handover to projects teams. Involve in gates validation
o Manage the change control board to prioritize demands
o Analyze technology industry and business trends and determine their potential applicability at Alstom

MAIN CHALLENGES OF THE ROLE :
o Define and Manage the global, innovative Communications Solutions roadmap during the transition between GE and Alstom Transport in order to ensure business continuity during and after the end of TSA (Transitional Services Agreement),
o Put in place a new organization that partially exists in today's Alstom IS&T organization:
- Fine tune the detailed organization and associated processes and activities
- Implement the governance with IS&T and business stakeholders
- Contribute to the consolidation of the role of the Enterprise Architecture for Support functions solutions (the Enterprise Architecture needs to establish and gain credibility in front of the businesses stakeholders and within the IS&T organization)

The creation of this position is subject to the closing of general deal between Alstom & GE and completion of the information/consultation process at European & local levels.

Profil recherché

To be considered for this role, candidate need to demonstrate the following skills experience and attributes:
- Graduated with an engineering degree, preferably in information technology, you have more than 3-5 years of experience in IS&T architecture and solutions design and a strong knowledge of Communications solutions / market / architectures.
- As a manager you demonstrate good communication, leadership and change management skills. You are result oriented and show intellectual curiosity and creativity.
- Fluent in English, you are eager to work with autonomy in an international environment and to face the challenges of the new Alstom
