Poste et missions:
Softbank Robotics is looking for a devops engineer to make the liaison between the Paris HQ Cloud Team and the Local team in Tokyo.
Softbank Robotics Europe Cloud Team is in charge of delivering and operating remote services and Web interfaces for our growing robot fleet worldwide. Such services allow robots to get or post resources, provide analytics metrics and access to "online intelligence", in a scalable and secured manner.
Based on the latest technologies, deep AWS platform integration and an emerging multi-vendor cloud strategy, this position offers many opportunities to bring innovation and cutting edge approaches to our infrastructures.
With the ramp-up of robots deployed in a growing number of territories and businesses, SBR Europe is trying to reinforce its links to the Local IT team, concentrating the communication to the technical partners and end-users.
The Cloud team is looking for a skilled devops engineer to:
* provide, in Tokyo, a first level of technical expertise in the supervision and development of SBR Cloud systems
* act as a liaison between Paris and Tokyo teams, relaying the business needs as well as the the product and processes evolutions.
The ideal candidate should be looking for the challenge of building the cloud of robots with a friendly professional and international team.
Profil:
Required / Desirable set of skills:
- Software development experience in web/cloud environments
- Linux system administration in a continuous delivery / deployment environment
- AWS hands-on experience
- English (spoken, written)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of HTTP protocol and REST API
- Proficient with some popular server-side languages: Python (tornado, django), Javascript (nodejs)
- Experience with agile software development
- Ability to quickly learn and apprehend new technologies
Nice to have :
- Japanese or Chinese language working proficiency
- Previous exposure to high-traffic architectures
- Working knowledge of database administration (Mysql, Postgres, Cassandra)
- Working knowledge of Terraform or Ansible
- Personal interest with IOT / Robotics
