Description of the job

A vacancy for a Web Factory - Frontend Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse. You will join GeoInt Ground Segment & Midstream Sol Department.

The mission will take place within the Earth Observation application frontend development entity. This organization, the Web Factory (WF), within « Portals & Mobile solutions » service, strives to implement Agile and DevOps concepts in order to meet the objectives of an enterprise transformation program (GDS). The Web Factory is composed of a Core Team in charge of dev support roles, notably: frontend architecture, continuous integration chain, automated tests strategy definition and support, API strategy and design.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

The mission is in parallel to the development and maintenance of thematic GIS application frontend projects (Scrums). It consists in developing a toolbox (Front-End Toolkit, FRET) usable by the different developers belonging to the Scrums projects. Here are the corresponding tasks:

·  refine the User Stories with FRET Product Owner (WF head) and WF frontend Architect (review of User Stories);
·  define the detailed design with the WF Architect, bringing forward proposals;
·  implement high-quality development, with unit and end-to-end tests;
·  feed and extend the existing FRET components demo site;
·  promote FRET components and their usage by the dev community, notably by giving support to projects developers;
·  take part in the pair code review process;
·  potentially take part in projects development.

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  - Frontend: Angular 5+ or a very good proficiency in other JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS, React, Vue.js, etc.), Redux pattern, HTML5, CSS3
·  - Having an experience in OpenLayers map client (or any other) is a plus.
·  - Dev tools: Gitlab, JIRA, Confluence, Artifactory.
·  - Agile Scrum method, pair code review, tests automation (unit and end-to-end)
·  Language Skills: advanced level of French, advanced level of English
