Description of the job
The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria.
VIE Main Requirements:
· European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein), graduates up to 28 years old
· Have fulfilled military obligations for their country.
· Fluent in English.

A 12 month's VIE for Financial Controlling support has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Astana, Kazakhstan.
You will join the controlling department who provides support to subsidiaries, mainly Space System and CIS (Communication, Intelligence and Security), from a financial point of view and also internal control.
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
¤ Monitoring the financial results of the subsidiaries ensuring the tracking of actuals versus the operating plan and proposing corrective measures to
achieve the targets set for the subsidiaries,
¤ Controlling cash performance and target,
¤ Supporting tax reporting preparation and analysis,
¤ Supporting and coordinating the preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss, cash flow statements),
¤ Assisting in the preparation of board meetings and audit commission by collecting data for the top management,
¤Contributing to the implementation of the Internal Controls system within the entity,
¤Contributing to the implementation of the Airbus Group enterprise risks and opportunities tracking methodology.
This role could involve some travel for business (twice a year) on Airbus sites and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

· Educated to a Master's degree level (or equivalent) in Finance
· Soft skills:

· Language Skills:
o Negotiation level of English
o Advanced level of Russian
